At Kinda Education Support, we’ve evolved from a donation-based organization to a dynamic social enterprise, empowering local communities while reducing our reliance on donations. Our mission is to offer an authentic experience of Africa, far from the typical tourist paths, in the heart of Tanzania’s Kagera Region. This tranquil, high-altitude destination provides a safe and refreshing climate, making it the perfect place to explore an Africa untouched by mass tourism.

An integral part of our Learning Trek is the opportunity to learn about and engage with our work in empowering children through innovative programs. Visitors will meet our dedicated team, visit schools, and participate in vibrant community events across Kagera. Our Learning Trek offers travellers from the Global North a chance to engage with the ‘real’ Africa. The Kagera Region is a hidden gem, where you’ll discover the beauty of untouched landscapes and immerse yourself in the local culture. We don’t impose foreign influences—we celebrate what is already here, ensuring that the local communities benefit from every visitor’s experience.
Our Tour Options:
1. Social Impact Group Field Trip
Embark on a guided group trip filled with personal encounters with local communities. Explore backcountry school-building projects, experience the stunning natural beauty of Kagera, and attend the annual Regional Bonanza. This experience will leave you with lasting memories and a deeper connection to the region.
2. Personal Encounters for Small Groups
Tailored for small groups, these stays are designed to create meaningful interactions with local teachers, students, healthcare workers, and community members—both in Bukoba and in remote villages. This immersive experience will broaden your perspective and deepen your connection to the people of Kagera.

5. Learning Trek – A Talent Development Platform
This program is designed for organizations looking to offer experiential learning as part of their employee development initiatives. Participants will spend a week working on a construction site at a local primary school, assisting craftsmen in building classrooms, water tanks, or sanitation facilities.
6. Guided Mountain Bike Tours
Explore the natural and socio-economic landscapes surrounding Bukoba on one of our guided mountain bike tours. Tanzania mainland. Our core area of working focuses on Better Education,Better Health and Gender Equality and environmental conservation.
Through the website we will be able to produce and promote authentic stories, images and other publications that create outstanding organisational visibility. This will help the internet users intending to support a worthwhile cause to find us more easily and build a room for support and donations that can help us grow and become independent, therefore generating more chances for Tanzanian children.
